So, last night I spilled my beverage upon my lovely Wacom tablet. After urgently cleaning it up, I discovered the mouse didn't respond anymore. But I could still use my stylus.

A little more cleanup, back to semi-normal use, and then it tries to update the driver. A malfunction follows, so my computer decides to turn my tablet off. A restart doesn't help anything.

Begin fierce desire for life to have an undo button.

Fortunately, I have a technologically-savvy dad who was brave enough to open the thing up (and had a screw driver that was ridiculously small enough to do the job) shift things around, judge the priority of leaving certain components in pristine condition, knew what were the danger spots for where moisture would go, and gave me directions to dry it out.

I had to wait an anxious day, but -- voila! My tablet is back on the job and I'm much relieved. Most likely, I won't keep glasses of juice by my desk anymore. I had a perfect no-spill record, too...

In other news, I'm back to school for the year! When I get into subjects, I see them in absolutely everything, so right now everything sounds like Spanish. Very fun.

As far as art goes, well... we'll see. My schedule looks like it might not be insane, but I also have additional priorities besides school. Possibly I'll manage to do NaNoWriMo this year (Last year I still managed 20% after starting late and barely trying.) and that sort of thing tends to spawn art.
