Quiescent Voyage

I like how, "I should draw my character!" evolves into one of my more developed pieces ever.

Drawing on this scale usually illustrates my weaknesses to me -- like how much I hate rendering hands digitally. Traditional hands are so much easier! Nevertheless, I didn't give up like I have so often in the past. Ah, success.

Since last Friday this girl's story has been practically constant in my mind. Possibly because I plan it to be a graphic novel, it's unusually vivid for something I haven't started writing yet. Currently I'm planning to join in Camp NaNoWriMo's launch by writing up the script for the graphic novel. Which, by the way, is in two days.

In terms of the picture itself, it depicts the heroine near her home by the sea. The seagull is a friend of hers and we'll see what role the moon will play in the story.
